Groschopp new NEMA wormgearboxes

Thanks to Groschopp’s innovative engineers and a partnership with Italy-based Transtecno, Groschopp is now offering new NEMA Right Angle Worm Gearboxes.

These NEMA Right Angle Worm Gearboxes deliver superb mechanical strength in an innovative, lightweight package. The featured NEMA gearboxes come in six frame sizes: RA 40, RA 50, RA 63, RA 75, RA 90 and RA 110.

There are several customized accessories available for each frame size such as optional input and output flanges, output shafts (with the option of a hollow shaft), torque arms and plastic covers.

Sizes RA 40 through RA 110 have high thermal capacity die-cast aluminum housings, designed for exceptionally efficient heat dissipation, resulting in maximum torque output in a highly compact design. All of the housings are coated with a corrosion-free powder coat finish.

The NEMA Right Angle Worm Gearbox has excellent versatility with six different mounting options; this gearbox is an excellent choice if your application has a significant amount of overhung load.

These gearboxes, with their long life synthetic lubricant, function well in many climates and do not require any maintenance. Special oil seals allow the gearboxes to function properly at temperatures lower than -31°F  (-35°C) and higher than 122°F (50°C).

“Our new right angle worm gearbox line is directly interchangeable with most gearboxes of the same design,” says Groschopp Product Manager Jon Roetman. “The entire line has been thoroughly tested in Groschopp’s test lab and has been proven to have excellent efficiency, yield strength, performance and construction quality. These points, along with availability and price, make this right angle worm gearbox line very tough to beat!”
