Bonfiglioli exhibited at Australia’s premier bulk material and powder handling exhibition, Bulkex 2009, in Brisbane. The italian company displayed some of the world’s most advanced heavy industrial drives technology, and won the Best Custom Stand Award.

The 6000 sq m exhibition was a launching pad for Bonfiglioli’s latest products. In particular:

• the HDO160, the largest of the new HD helical drive series
• the Trasmital 321L5FZ, the most powerful Trasmital (Bonfiglioli Group) planetary drive currently available

The HDO160 bevel helical attracted great interest, along with other members of the totally new modular design HD series. This gearbox was mounted on a baseplate with fluid coupling brake and electric motor, showing a typical application of this product.

One last important point on the HD series: It is now produced on Bonfiglioli’s new Australasian production and testing line that cuts delivery times out of Europe by more than half for models in capacities from 14,000 – 125,000 Nm. 

The other product launched at Bulkex by Bonfiglioli was the planetary 321L5FZ, which offers up to 650 000 Nm of torque for use on heavy duty applications, such as coal thickeners or winches.
