Motek begins

The international trade fair for automation technology Motek takes place 21st through 24th of September 2009 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. Motek expects more than 900 exhibitors; between them, many gearmotors manufacturers.

900 is an important aim; Motek project leader Rainer Bachert says: “Never before we could announce such high exhibitor numbers this early, the vast majority of former exhbitors stayed with us and we register a rising interest from abroad.

For this reason we revised our restrained planning, which was based on the global economic situation, and we now intend to completely use the halls 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.” The show will offer innovative information offerings including theme parks which will highlight up-todate, emerging trends and present them in a practical manner.

The 2009 theme parks are dedicated to the fields of Mechatronics, Microsystems technology and Training & Science. In addition to this it, in cooperation with the Mechatronics Competence Network BW e.V., the technical congress entitled “Looking to the Future” will be held concurrent to the trade fair for the first time.

The congress will deal with interdisciplinary, current issues and will tie in with the subject matter presented at the theme parks.

The spectrum of offerings presented by MOTEK exhibitors is the workhorse for users from all over the world, who view MOTEK as their most important platform for information, communication and procurement.

With more than one possible answer, 57% of the last edition event’s expert visitors indicated that assembly technology and assembly automation were their main areas of interest, 47% were focussed primarily on robotics and handling technology, 28% specified automation relevant drive technology and 28% control technology as additional, important fields of activity.

MOTEK is the only technical trade fair anywhere in the world to offer “everything” for the process sequence for automated assembly and production technology – for manufacturers of machinery and equipment, as well as for in-house fabrication of operating equipment and self-sufficient users.

At Motek also many motors, gearboxes, gearmotors manufacturer are going to exhibit: Lenze, Bonfiglioli, Neugart, Dunkermotoren, Maxon, Sew, Wittenstein are some of them.
