Brevini in China
Brevini Power Transmission offers a wide range of mechanical power transmission components, with its products including helical, bevel helical and spiral bevel gearboxes. During 2009 Brevini inaugurated a new plant in Yancheng, China, with 110 employees and an annual production of 50,000 planetary gear units.

“Brevini Group’s industrial plans include substantial investments in China because our growth depends on our presence around the globe”said Renato Brevini, President of Brevini Power Transmission who welcomed the 350 guests and Chinese authorities attending the inauguration of the new plant in Yancheng.
“We choose areas with potential for development and interesting investment opportunities, and we plan in the long term to be able to protect our competitive edge in the future. We are looking beyond the crisis and focusing on the recovery that will arrive”.
“This is our second production plant abroad: the other is PIV Drives in Germany,” Mr. Brevini said. “Our anti-crisis strategy is based on investments, innovation, and a very close relationship with markets and clients.”
“We have already invested 20 million euros in our Brevini Yancheng Planetary Drives factory,” explained Renato Brevini. “We bought a 30,000 square meter industrial property and built the factory and offices, covering a total of 16,000 square meters, in two phases.
What’s more, through our far-reaching project, we have made similar investments for the new “Brevini Yancheng Fluid Power plant, a subsidiary of Brevini Fluid Power: 8 million euros, of which 4 have already been invested. When the 8,000 square meter plant producing hydraulic pumps and transmissions will be fully operative, it will employ about 100 people.”
“Today more than 110 employees (including 30 engineers) work in the Brevini Yancheng Planetary Drives plant, and we constantly focus on quality: in fact, the range of Brevini Power Transmission products for China meets international quality standards. When the factory is fully operative, it will manufacture 50,000 gear units per year, have 150 employees, and reach an estimated turnover of 65 million euros,” commented Renato Brevini.
“Our consolidated, direct presence in Asia allows us to offset the effects of the global economic recession with growth in the key areas of China, India, and Brazil,” said Massimiliano Colombo, Marketing Director of Brevini Power Transmission.
“Our development trend has continued steadily for years in the most important application markets for our product: clean and renewable energy, infrastructure construction, mining and raw materials, and port and marine logistics.”
