Baldor’s good technology strategies

BALDOR has been recently rewarded; the american producer of electric motirs has been ranked 144th in the World by Information Week 2009, important news and informations source.

InformationWeek is the leading news and information source for information technology professionals and business managers with technology management and purchasing authority. InformationWeek.com provides breaking news online and in newsletters, in-depth features, insightful analysis, benchmarking data, research reports, a wide-range of technology centers and expert opinions.

To be ranked in the InformationWeek 500, companies with revenue of $250 million or more must complete a rigorous application on their technology strategies.

The process includes quantitative and qualitative assessments of business tech innovation.   Completed applications are reviewed by a panel of InformationWeek editors, who determine the ranking. The data is aggregated for all 500 companies and by industry. 

Baldor beat out important companies that included:  Dell, Earnest and Young, Southwest Airlines, Motorola, Emerson, National Oilwell Varco, Owens Corning, AIT, Ford Motor Company, Geico, Graybar Electric, Microsoft and Regal Beloit to name a few.

In the manufacturing category, Baldor was ranked 7th in the World behind Aerojet General, Alliance One International, Lockheed Martin, Eaton Corporation, The Standard Register, and Deere and Company.
